ANVISA warns of the risks of indiscriminate use of paracetamol after vaccination against Covid-19

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Indiscriminate use of paracetamol to relieve pain and fever after vaccination against Covid-19 can lead to serious adverse events, including drug-induced hepatitis and death, the Brazilian regulatory agency said ANVISA health.

According to the agency, paracetamol should be used with caution, “always respecting the maximum daily dose and the interval between doses, according to the recommendations contained in the leaflet, for each age group”.
